May Evangelism Encouragement
From Michael Robble...
During the month of May, let’s prayerfully consider the sovereignty of God in evangelism — specifically, how we and unbelievers we regularly interact with have been ‘placed together’ according to the Lord’s sovereign plan. As Rico Tice puts it, “I’ve often found that Christians recognize that God has sovereignly placed them where they live, but they don’t necessarily realize that God has sovereignly placed unbelievers in their lives.”
Who are the people you see regularly — whom the Lord has sovereignly placed in your life — but who don’t know Him? They are in your life because the Lord put them there to see and hear of the love of Jesus through you. Pray for them. Pray for opportunities to extend care to them. Pray for boldness to proclaim Jesus to them. “You are the light of the world… Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14,16)

Parents Be Advised...
Since our practice, generally, is to preach through entire books of the Bible on Sundays — without skipping the uncomfortable bits — we occasionally find ourselves dealing with passages we feel parents should be aware of ahead of time. So, on May 17 the sermon will be from Genesis 38 and on May 24 the sermon will be from Genesis 39. Parents, please read these chapters prior to those Sundays so you're not surprised! We want you to be able to plan appropriately for your children. The language of the sermons will stay within the bounds of what we're accustomed to as a church; however, the stories and some of the language from these chapters may prompt some preparatory conversations in your families.

Prepare for Sunday Is the New Big Enough Email
In 2020, we started a weekly email with up-to-date info on what's happening with GCC. It was initially the Really Big Email but got scaled back and we called it the Big Enough Email. Then we just made it an acronym — the BEE. Now everything that used to be in the BEE can be found either by clicking the link on our website under Visit Sunday (where you are right now) or, if you have the app, just look for Prepare for Sunday on the home page.

FAMILY ROOM & NURSING MOTHERS ROOM
The Family Room and Nursing Mothers Room are available throughout the service for anyone who feels the need to step out of the service with a baby or young child. The Family Room has space for children to play and a livestream so parents can still watch/listen to the service. The Nursing Mothers Room is a comfortable and private room for mothers and infants; audio of the service feeds into the room. Please ask a member of the welcome team if you’d like to be directed to one of these rooms.
